so look, i haven't posted anything on here in a long time (actually never since this is Kitty's page) but anyway, who fucking cares. I am so pissed right now because I am so tired of people bailing on me at the last minute. Even if it's for a legitimate reason, I can still be pissed. Why can't people just hang out with me simply for the reason of keeping me company sometimes. I go places with my friends where I don't necessarily want to go, just because I want to hang out with them. Why can't anybody do that for me once and a while? I just want someone to meet me halfway from time to time. I know I am being dramatic and a whiner, but I never spill my guts on this thing so what the fuck ever.
Cheers to another fucking shitty rest of the weekend.
Hurricanes suck by the way.

"I want someone to come up to me and say: 'Charlie Brown, I'm your friend.'"
-Charlie Brown

wow that was emo, but i don't fucking care right now.

WOOT! WOOT!
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
It was fun, but hectic. I had a major problem with our housing payments, and I had to go to three places to get it finally corrected. All in all that mess took three hours.
On a happier note, I saw all of my friends which was great, and my teachers are cool(so far).
So, hopefully this semester will be fun!

Monday, Monday

one more day in Thibodaux.
I am so happy that summer is almost over. I really enjoy college and not only the fun stuff like the Thursday night film club and juggling on fridays, but I cannot wait to get back in the class room. Learn new material. meet new teachers. Read. Study. Not sleeping much. I want the whole deal again. I already bought my school supplies, been checking Ulink everyday, and I'm all packed for Lafayette. just waiting for Monday to come. I usually hate Monday's, but this Monday will be different: I'll be back at UL in my own apartment. yeah! finally.

A Circus Juggler

Tonight, I went to the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus. It was fun, but the best part about it was not the circus itself, but a Hungarian juggler named Vicky. She was so nice, and we talked for a good while about juggling equipment and the different tricks we know. She told me that her grandfather and father were in the circus in Hungary, but when the Soviets took over her country, they moved to the US and joined Ringling's. She also told me about the circus school that they have in Hungary. It is a state run school, and everyone goes for eight years: four years for learning the basics and the last four for perfecting your best skills and working on a unique act for the circus. I thought that this was so amazing that their country actually cares for the performing arts, and I wish the US would give more funding for the arts. oh well, I guess we have to we have too many wars to pay for. Well, the circus was great, and Vicky was so kind to tell her story to us.

Religion:A Touchy Subject

I'm currently reading a book called Life of Pi, and the main character is a Hindu from India. I really admire Pi Patel because religion is such a large part of his life, but he doesn't see Hinduism is the so called "right" religion and that the world should be converted to it. He simply feels the most comfortable living a Hindu lifestyle and enjoys living through Hindu eyes. I feel they same way about being Catholic. I'm comfortable and happy with what I believe, but I also believe that people are entitled to their own opinion. I don't believe that any religion or non-religion is the so called right religion. There are so many cultures and practices in this world that there cannot possibly be one correct choice and all the others are wrong. I think that as long as we believe that we are living a life that we are most happy with, God will not punish us. I have been really bothered by people that are extremely close-minded. I firmly believe in the saying: To Each His Own, and I get upset when people put down differing religious or political beliefs. We all have the right to choose to be who we want, believe what we want, and practice what we want, and I don't think anyone should be teased or ridiculed because they have an opinion. Everyone should be respected for at least believing or not believing in something.

There's No Business Like Show Business

On Thursday, June 22, 2006, AN EVENT, LIKE NO OTHER, WILL OCCUR. I, Kathryn Ellen Zeringue, along with my look alike sidekick, Maria will perform at St. Joseph Summer Camp. We will juggle for children of all ages, well actually they are 6 to 8 years old, but it will still rival The Greatest Show on Earth. It will be the greatest performance of my life for I live for the stage. I will perform many tricks using stage balls, clubs, and if my rings come in on time, juggling rings. It is a show not to be missed. Wish me luck.
I bid you adieu,
juggling_twin

Saturday in New Orleans

This past Saturday I went to NOCCA(New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts) for a screening of Capote. It was hosted by author, Sarah Vowell, and afterwords there was a Q&A with the film's director, Bennett Miller. Being someone who has studied film, this was a great moment for me because I got to see someone who has made films and become successful in the film industry. He was great. He just seemed like a regular guy talking with one of his best friends Sarah and entertaining a group of people who were as equally crazy about movies as they were.

Seeing Bennett Miller made me realize that Hollywood isn't as far away as it seems. Sometimes it feels as if the film industry is disconnected with the rest of America, They make movies, tell us to go see them, and of course, we listen. Bennett Miller and Sarah Vowell brought Hollywood a littler closer to New Orleans on Saturday by visiting NOCCA.

Saturday was a great night. I had a lot of fun, and I got to see some famous people. I will remember that night in New Orleans for a long time.

Taged by Char

So, like Char, I have to name six unusual habits/things about myself. Then I must tag six other people.

1) I love telling really corny/horrible jokes because I actually think that they are funny.
2) I love the TV show Drake and Josh on Nickelodeon. I think that the little sister is hilarious, and I could watch this show all day. I also love the TV show, Reba on the WB. I love it so much that sometimes I would stay home on Fridays to watch it.
3)I do not like to go out and do things. I love to stay home.
4)I get obsessed with things way too easily, but sometimes it is a good thing like in the case of juggling though some people disagree with that statement.
5) Sometimes, I like movies more than people.
6)I hate the combination of cookies and milk. I don't like things floating in my beverages, and I don't like soggy cookies.
Since I only have five friends, I tag Marnie, Jonas, and Betty(I know that Betty won't do it)
